X2: X-Men United was the second in the Marvel franchise, and it featured, of course, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The stunt claws in the movie weren’t made of the fictional alloy adamantium, like in the comic books (and Hugh Jackman’s spine isn’t made of the stuff either, we don’t think).
Instead, the props were constructed of urethane and mounted onto metal machine grips, which were marked “L2” and “R2,” indicating on which hand they should be worn. The stunt claws have minor wear and tear from their use in the action-packed sequel, but that didn’t stop the buyer, who purchased the claws at auction for $40,250.
