The China Construction Bank officially opened its Shanghai branch in 2018. But, instead of being run by people, the bank is run almost entirely by what the bank calls AI technology. The bank incorporates facial recognition and a couple of robots to supposedly be able to assist customers with 90% of their needs in a timely and correct manner. We’re not entirely sold on exclusively interacting with automated systems, so luckily, the bank does have an option for those wanting human interactions.
