Marie Antoinette: Period Gowns

Worn By: Kirsten Dunst
Year: 2006
Value: $45,000*

Kirsten Dunst told Entertainment Tonight that she wore sixty gowns in the film Marie Antoinette, and her beige dancing gown was one of the most beautiful. Designed by Mileno Canonero, historians said the gowns were pretty much accurate of the time period, though they were stylized and exaggerated a bit to add flair to the film.

The colors of the costumes varied from grayish-purple to reddish-brown, and the 2006 film is often cited as one of the most fashionable contemporary movies in existence (which is ironic, as it is supposedly set in the latter half of the 1700s, when Queen Marie held court in France).
