The Dark Knight: Joker’s Tie

Worn By: Heath Ledger
Year: 2008
Value: $18,000*

Heath Ledger’s Joker was like nothing audiences had ever seen before. The character didn’t have the top hat or the cheery grin that Jack Nicholson’s Joker had; instead, he was a sociopathic, frightening wildcard that earned Ledger a posthumous Oscar. Lindy Hemming designed the character’s attire, and she felt it needed to be more modern than Nicholson’s Joker’s wardrobe had been.

This necktie was seen on the Joker through much of the film. Made of green silk, it still had the same knot that Ledger tied in it on set. The necktie sold at the Prop Store’s auction for $18,000 to one dedicated Dark Knight fan.
