Batman has undergone many transformations over the years, as have the actors that have played the Dark Knight. In 1992 it was Michael Keaton’s second shot at playing Gotham’s hero in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns.
Keaton is largely considered one of the better actors to play the role, which could explain why the Batsuit he wore for the feature managed to sell for a very impressive $41,000 in 2017. It could be argued that it’s not the most interesting suit, but someone out there loved it enough to splash the cash.
