Sally Struthers | All In the Family
What could be a fitting acknowledgement of one’s work than being nominated for and winning two Emmy Awards? None, other than audience appreciation. That was the case with Sally Struthers, who appeared as Gloria Stivic in the sitcom All in the Family. Despite having a dysfunctional family herself, the actress made it through and landed several projects, including Five Easy Pieces and Intimate Strangers.
At more than 70 years old, Struthers is still active in the entertainment industry. She recently appeared in the movie Friendly Neighborhood Coven and the TV show In Security. The actress has also kept her calendar busy by advocating for impoverished children. Short of obtaining personal loans to give to these kids, Struthers had been a spokesperson for International Correspondence Schools in several TV ads. Her usual catchphrase is “Do you want to make more money? Sure, we all do!” which has been satirized by many TV programs.
