Lisa Whelchel | The Facts of Life

A veteran actress who has been in front of the camera since she was 14 years old, Lisa Whelchel has appeared on many TV series, including The New Mickey Mouse Club and her role as the preppy and wealthy Blair Warner on the sitcom The Facts of Life. She is also not someone who would shy away from talking about her faith, and since 2009 she has been an active speaker in several Women of Faith Christian conventions.

In 2012, Whelchel joined Survivor: Philippines, where she became an instant crowd favorite. She got second place and won the investment money worth $100,000. Later on, she said that crying was her only recourse when the tribal council decided to boot her out. This was considered her Survivor meltdown moment. One reason behind it was the pressure of being on camera too much—which was ironic because she practically has been in front of cameras since she was a child.
